HOW CAN I CONTRIBUTE?

MONEY

Up-front Donations
We suggest $100/family but you can always donate more or less, and you can donate any time during the year.  If you choose, you can consider donating in lieu of year-long PTA fundraising.  We will still inform you of traditional PTA fundraising activities, but you can ignore them guilt-free!  A donation like this for which you receive no service or goods is tax deductible.   You can pay via credit card, PayPal or write a check to "GUFS PTA."  Again--we accept donations any time for any amount.

Support Fundraising Activites
Buy hot lunch, books at the book fair, refreshments at the school concerts, Sally Foster products online, or Kids' Art stationery, and send in your Box Tops.  Everything you purchase helps fund PTA initiatives!

TIME

There are a variety of ways to participate in PTA—don’t think you need 10 hrs/wk to be an active part of PTA!  Our goal is that every PTA member find a way to contribute that fits their constraints.  We welcome whatever time, resources, skills, or ideas you have.  Click here to check out our volunteer form.

If you have an hour now and then…
  •       donate something to the school concert refreshment sales table
  •       buy books at the Scholastic Book Fair
  •       take a PTA survey and share your ideas and feedback
  •       attend a PTA meeting
  •       read the PTA website posting to find out what happened at the meeting you missed
  •       bring your kids to the Wildlife Garden on a Friday afternoon in spring or fall to work and learn
  •       volunteer for an hour in the school library or front office
If you have a few hours now and then…
  •       help with a library or playground upgrade activity
  •       substitute on a Hot Lunch team
  •       take a shift at the book fair
If you have a few hours on a monthly basis…
  •       be a member of a Hot Lunch team
  •       serve on a PTA committee
If you have a few hours on a weekly basis…
  •     chair a PTA committee
  •     take charge of the PTA newsletter or the bulletin board
  •     volunteer to teach an afterschool special
