COMMUNICATIONS & COMMUNITY-BUILDING

Purpose

The Communications and Community-Building committee seeks to provide a variety of clear and consistent ways for PTA members to access and share information.  This new website is part of those efforts!  The committee also focuses on strengthening our GUFS community by providing activities and information to help us come to know, support, and serve each other.  Since this is a new committee, we are looking for lots of volunteers, particularly ones with experience in communications, graphic design, PR, or advertising.

Community-Building

• New to GUFS  (welcomes and helps integrate incoming kindergarten and new move-in families)
• service projects  (helps students and their families serve the community)
• Room Parent Coordinator  (supports room parents in each classroom in their function as PTA liasons)
• Sunshine Fund  (supports bereaved GUFS families)
